Thomson and Darty created a unique media experience in Paris

On November 5th and 6th in Paris, France, Thomson hosted a 360° event designed to showcase its latest innovations in large and small appliances.

From its heritage of quality craftsmanship to its forward-thinking designs, the brand remains a trusted name in both large and small appliances. 

The event took place in a 400m² showroom, once the former Testut factory—a renowned scale manufacturer founded in 1850.

This historical setting included displays of various large and small appliances, offering attendees a hands-on experience with Thomson's products.


Tuesday featured a full press day from 10am to 8pm, highlighted by exciting cooking battles where four influencers competed to create unique dishes.

The battles were hosted by the famous Gastronogeek, a French chef and writer, along with Stéphane Méjanès, a renowned French food critic.

These sessions resulted in four engaging videos shared across Thomson, Darty, and the influencers' social channels.

On Wednesday, select Darty executives attended a masterclass with Gastronogeek, which provided an exclusive, in-depth look at Thomson’s latest kitchen appliance offerings.

The event attracted a notable crowd, including 80 journalists and influencers from the tech and lifestyle sectors. Among them was a former Miss France, adding a touch of prestige and broadening the event's appeal.

These attendees represented top publications and platforms, ready to amplify Thomson's innovations through their networks.

Additionally, 30 Darty staff members attended on Wednesday, enabling in-depth discussions on product features.

Their participation underscored the strong partnership between Thomson and Darty, reinforcing a shared commitment to bringing innovative, high-quality appliances to the market.

This event provided a unique opportunity to connect with media, influencers, and Darty executives, amplifying Thomson’s reach and brand presence across digital platforms.
